Valve has launched a new VR headset. The headset is called the Steam Frame. Pre-orders have officially started. The price is listed at $1,059. For UK buyers, the cost works out to over £1,000.

Reviews are now out from major outlets. The BBC and Rock Paper Shotgun are in agreement. They describe it as excellent and best-in-class. However, they note the high price is a barrier. It keeps VR from being cheap enough for a wide audience.

Each unit includes a free ARM port of Half-Life: Alyx. Valve also gave more information about the release date and accessories.
