The NFL is dropping the annual Pro Bowl event after 75 years. The league is pulling the plug on the on-field contest, but star players will still be honored. Players will continue to be named as Pro Bowlers to receive their annual honors.
Player honors will remain intact despite the cancellation of the match. However, alternates will no longer be recognized by the league. The ruling ends the 75 year history of the yearly event, but leading stars will continue getting their official Pro Bowl honors each year.
