A plane from Air Canada skidded off the taxiway at Montreal-Trudeau Airport on July 10. It touched down, before drifting onto the grass and settled off the runway. Officials sealed the strip immediately. No one got hurt in the move, no matter how rough it felt.
That block stopped takeoffs and landings for an extended period. Cleanup crews moved equipment to the location. Others examined the runway for any damage. In the afternoon, flights resumed takeoffs and landings after the strip reopened.
