Jasper Philipsen took victory in Stage 17 of the 2026 Tour de France in a fast dash to the line. It was his initial win at this year's race. The stage ended in a duel between Philipsen and Mads Pedersen. Philipsen called the effort extremely tough. The UCI defended after-hours doping tests carried out after the stage in response to concerns raised after the finish. Lidl-Trek beat UAE Team Emirates in the team standings. Jordan Jegat was quiet in the general standings. EF Pro Cycling gave a statement on the final result.
