Ryan Fox secured the victory by a single shot after a nervy birdie on the final green. Cameron Young stamped his authority early with a strong charge on the front nine. Fox took command with a clutch putt down the stretch. Tommy Fleetwood finished just outside of a playoff spot. Fox got off the major board at last on a tough Open layout. Ferocious winds never eased up on the duneland course. Years of narrow misses finally ended in triumph on Sunday for the Kiwi.
