Disney has delayed Star Wars: Starfighter and transformed it into a 2027 TV pilot. Shawn Levy will helm the project, which is set to copy The Mandalorian's soft links with the Star Wars universe. Jonathan Tropper crafted the script and believes that fans will welcome the series once it arrives. Disney has also halted all new Star Wars streaming shows for 12 months, clearing the path for this standalone series.
