The San Jose Sharks last faced the Boston Bruins. A rookie forward Ivar Stenberg scored his first career NHL goal during the match. The strike was past goalie Jeremy Swayman. The team is now preparing for its yearly-once-a-year Hockey Fights Cancer night. The event is scheduled on mid-November. It centers on cancer awareness and support for those affected. The initiative is part of a league wide effort for the upcoming season.
