IGN published a story on August 27, 2026. Accounts hit that date. GameSpot shared the story. Polygon shared it too. They report the GTA 6 map is three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2. The map is twice as big as GTA 5. They label it Rockstar's most complex world yet.
Eurogamer gave those figures the same day. The game also has 600,000 distinct animations. That is double the animation labor that was used in Red Dead Redemption 2. Players now get a full look at how huge the next Rockstar title will be.
