Old Xaverians have lost their place in the VAFA Premier Division grand final. The club was disqualified after it fielded an ineligible player. This was due to an administrative mistake. The team confirmed its players and staff feel awful about the mistake. St Kevin's will assume Old Xaverians' place in the final. The league stated the rule was violated and the forfeit stands right away.
