Friday night, intense storms rolled through Oklahoma City. Hail hammered several neighborhoods. The storms raced across the city and cleared before midnight. Saturday saw a quick rise in temperature, raising the weekend heat.
Police raided a house Friday, found about 30 pounds of methamphetamine and more than 500 animals. They took four people into custody. The OKC Animal Welfare Shelter stopped accepting new animals after the influx. Staff encouraged the public to welcome the rescued dogs, cats and birds right away. Rescue crews nourished, examined and relocated the animals to the shelter.
