A storm system in the Gulf of Mexico may affect Florida over the weekend. The National Hurricane Centre says the probability of it intensifying stands at 30%. Could bring floods and hard winds. At present, the system is not strong but might intensify ahead of landfall. Torrential rain will hit most of the state. Forecasters are not expecting it will become a named storm for now.
