A car suddenly struck three pedestrians crossing outside the M&S store on Ealing Broadway during the incident on Saturday morning. All three were taken immediately to hospital. An ambulance got there within moments and police helped quickly the injured on the pavement. No one else was hurt.
Police closed the busy shopping stretch temporarily while they began inquiries. The road stayed shut completely through the afternoon as officers kept diligently questioning the scene. Shoppers were sent another route way and traffic was rerouted, leaving the street calm and peaceful. The closure caused short brief delays for drivers.
