Anthony Mackie will transfer his West End production of Macbeth to Broadway, returning to the stage after a long absence. He will play the title role, with the run scheduled to continue until July 2027.

The production originated in London's West End before the Broadway transfer was reported by Playbill and Deadline. The move is a notable step for a performer largely absent from the stage in recent years.

After his Broadway run concludes, Mackie has confirmed he will film Avengers: Secret Wars, slotting the Marvel project in after his stage work is complete.
